My boyfriend and I are staying in the Old City area and are interested in camping at the campgrounds. I am wondering the best way to get from the temple (to where I am assuming it would be easier to take a sonthaew or something similar) to the campground /without/ renting a motorbike. I am also wondering at how we would get back to Chiang Mai from the campground. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

did you have an international driver license? is that how you were able to rent?

No i’m using my passport to rent the scooter. But when i ride and any police check i showed my indonesian license. But instead ASEAN country better bring your international license
