The Gift Shop has a short dvd you can watch before heading out to the replicas. They have some pottery shards etc on exhibit in the gift shop as well. My passion were the items the blacksmith had made there on site. Items are for sale. The hours I believe were 9am to 5 or 6pm. While our visit was a weekday, Monday to be exact, we did find several employees/volunteers dressed in era and more than happy to share their stories. I'm sure that weekends would be more livelier with reenactments. Hope you enjoy your trip.
