会安市是越南广南省下辖的一个省辖市。二战之前，会安在法国与西班牙等西方国家被称作“费福”。 会安市东临南海；北接奠磐市社；西和南接潍川县。最初，会安是一座被分割的城镇，以“日本桥”为界，一边为华人区，另一边为日本人落户的地方。这座桥是由日本人所建造，且以独特式的廊桥结构而闻名，桥边也盖了一座佛塔。 会安时常淹水，尤以每年农历10月中下旬最为严重，有时甚至淹到1层楼高。 据会安市人民议会副主席阮文勇表示，近年来，大河口附近的海岸线向内陆推进了150米，该地原为一片杨树林，后来被过度开发才造成这种结果。
