3 Euros each - good value. Spectacular views - very easy to imagine what it must have been like any time between the Crusaders and WW2. The 1953 earthquake damged most of the buildings, but there are…Stanley5899的完整评论

The castle is very high up on a hill and few hotels are nearby. We took the little commuter open air train that was parked near the water in the center of town/looks like a children's amusement but it was mostly adults. We thought about walking up but after taking the train we realized it was too steep and too far to walk. You can also take a taxi , they are parked near the train.
Hi. I'm staying in Lassi and have booked a table for dinner at Il Borgo. Trying to decide what time I should book a taxi for as the village sounds charming but hard to get a sense of how many hours I could spend there without getting severe deja vu. Any thoughts v welcome

30-40 minutes as it is extraordinary hot, but hey that's where they built it. Very atmospheric with awesome views. Try the cafe in the castle, the food is simple Greek fayre but the most incredible home made cheesecake and sweets. The atmosphere is 25 years ago! An absolute delight. Il Borgo has fabulous food and it is ideal from 8pm onwards as it is a little cooler and more relaxed, the courtyard is more relaxed then inside too. Look out for the opposite very familiar face when using the toilets too. Honestly it will make you laugh and smile for some time.

Hi We're interested in visiting St georges castle and Il Borgo restaurant. Anybody know how much it costs to get from Lassi to the castle in a taxi? thanks

Hi Not sure, but if it helps, we paid €15 one way from Svoronata to Argostoli. I think you would be looking at something similar as the journey time will be similar.
