I have read very mixed reviews on the dog park. Can anyone please let me know if the dog park is a good place to take friendly non-aggressive dogs? My pooches are used to going to off leash parks with lots of open space and it seems like the more open space there is, the better it is for the dogs. We will be visiting the area in a week or two and looking for a fun place for dogs and their humans. :)

My experience with the dog run has been great. It is in an enclosed (Fenced) area, with lots of room for lots of dogs. A parking fee is charged to drive in and park within Lagoon Park. I never had a problem with other guest or their dogs.

If you go into the park, there is a left turn a ways in with a big parking lot. There are some tables under the trees. If you go further in on the main drive there is a big parking lot by the lagoon. There is a dog park, and disc golf. There are benches scattered around. I think there are tables, but I'm not positive. I've been there for watching 5K, 10K, etc, and there were so many cars and people that I'm not sure how many tables there are. There is a brick restroom with plumbing nearby. Right now it's green, and a picnic on a blanket is possible if there are no tables. It is huge, so look around.
