法鲁，又译作法罗，是葡萄牙大陆最南端的城市，也是阿尔加维和法鲁区首府。2011年整个行政区人口118,000，其中市区人口64560人。 公元4世纪西哥特人征服这座罗马的奥索诺巴，公元8世纪摩尔人将其占领，并保留奥索诺巴在伊比利亚半岛西南角最重要城市的地位。9世纪“奥索诺巴”被“圣玛利亚”取代，随后当地的穆斯林首领哈伦将其称为法鲁。1249年由葡萄牙国王阿方索三世夺回，亦标志着国土光复运动正式告终。从16世纪中期起，法鲁成为阿尔加维省会。法鲁城在1596年西班牙占领期间，曾遭英国人劫掠。后又在1722、1755年两次受地震的严重破坏。
