I can only tour the first floor due to not being able to climb stairs, while my husband can tour the whole house...is it OK that I stay only to the first floor on the tour and then go into the gift shop?

The staff at the House Museum are very accommodating. I am sure that they will work out a plan for you. The main florr is the best area of the house to visit

On Friday at 1230 all they had was one roast beef sandwich,and some desserts and potato chips. Unapologetic, the attendant said "we close in two hours."Having driven an hour to meet there for lunch pre-tour, we spent fifteen bucks on two cokes and three small bags of chips. So beware.
