Rob King was 14 when his father, Bob, put him to work in the automobile industry, washing cars and changing tires. That was more than 30 years ago and he's still in the business. Rob King, 52, is the chief executive of Bob King Automotive, a franchised automobile dealer, representing Hyundai, Kia, Mazda and Mitsubishi. His company employs about 165 people at its dealerships on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem. In October, King was named president of the Mazda National Advisory Dealer Council for 2013. The council meets in Irvine, Calif., at Mazda's U.S. headquarters. King recently talked about his leadership position with the council, his company and the automobile industry.
