A short hike up from the old town you get rewarded with fantastic views across the town and to the mountains that surround it. Well worth the walk, which is up a slope not steps so easier on the legs! Simon K的完整评论

It's worth making the trek here from Lucerne and visiting some of the towers. Lots of interesting history, a chance to see some complex clockwork and an incredible view of the city. Steven W的完整评论

After walking the old town we climbed the hill to see this ancient wall. There are beautiful views of Lucerne from up here. We would have loved to have taken a picnic to enjoy on the lawn with the go… Deborahjune的完整评论

Coming from the Lion monument, you should take the Mussegstrasse. Then you will arrive at the first tower, which is Allenwindenturm. This one is not the most impressive, and …
Coming from the Lion monument, you should take the Mussegstrasse. Then you will arrive at the first tower, which is Allenwindenturm. This one is not the most impressive, and usually you cannot visit it. Therefore you must continue (on Mussegstrasse) until Schirmerturm. There you should be able to climb the tower and get on the defense wall. Then you just have to walk the wall and visit the other towers along the way.

The road goes through this tower and right beside it are steps going upward. Climb them and follow the path to the next tower. Its easy - just look ahead and use common sense! Take your camera!

The heat made it a little difficult when we were there, but it was not strenuous. Lots of places to rest along the way. At some of the towers you have the option to go up the ladders/stairs and while the views and clockworks were fun to see if you are tired just skip.
