Thanks for your interest in bringing your husband in his wheelchair to the fantastic Victoria Tunnel. Because of the solid concrete WW2 Blast Walls, wheelchair access is restricted to the first 100 yards. If it's a foldable wheelchair we can get those around the Blast Walls, but that depends on whether the wheelchair user can walk approximately 10 yards. However, our guides are very happy to give wheelchair users a full verbal description of the Victoria Tunnel in those first 100 yards. I look forward to the time when we resume tours and if you book a tour mention at time of booking the position with the wheelchair. In the meantime keep safe and well.

Hi and thanks for your question. Our tours all start at 55 Lime Street Newcastle NE1 2PQ and finish on Ouse Street, next to Hotel du Vin NE1 2BE (close to Newcastle Quayside).

Yes, you can take your own camera and take pictures but it is very dark and everyone has their own flashlight so you might struggle. There is a nice walk through the Ouseburn before the tour which will take some nice photos.

I am 5’11”, plus you wear a hard hat at all times. I could walk along without hitting my head on nearly all the tunnel. However at 6’7”, I would think you would be bent over at all times. …
