Absolutely beautiful. Lots of leaves changing. Lots of shade on the trail. Challenging enough for kids but not too hard for them. We even saw a group of sheep. RECOMMEND 100%!!!lovinglife2147的完整评论
I'm not sure how to get a permit of make a reservation? I've gone to recreation.gov but it says the entire campground is closed until May 27th? Surely it has to be open for more than 4 months of the year!

Yes! Dogs of all kinds are allowed. They provide a drinking a dog drinking fountain at the parking lot. And some spots along the trail that people recycle there plastic bags which you can grab to clean up after your dog. Although it is not very reliable and can be found empty or even with some trash in it. They do have a guideline that tells you to keep your dog(s) on a leash but I assume it’s more for legal reasons. I am a local to the area and go here a lot (with my dog) and with those visits some owners take there dog off a leash or don’t have them on a leash. You will find lots of dogs on your hike and I for one know that my dog loves it!
