Hello! Wondering if I need to prebook for individual tickets? We'll be there the week before Easter. The website said prebooking was required for tour groups but I didn't see a link to buy individual tickets. Thanks!

Hi, I'm fairly sure you'll be ok to pay in when you arrive. Tour groups is for larger groups off a bus I reckon. Be sure to see Cahir castle too, It's only a 10 minute drive from the Rock.
Is the car park at the bottom or top of the hill? My mum and I go on a day trip every year and I think she would love this, but she can’t manage too much walking - let alone walking uphill. Is it easily accessible for people who struggle?

The car park is at the bottom of the hill. It will be a bit of a hike
Plan to rely only on public transportation while in Ireland but having trouble finding anything from limerick that will get me to Rock of Cashel.

We also had a rental car. I cannot imagine any public transport there, but I am not an expert on transportation in the area. It was just so rural. It's hard to imagine public transport.
I would like to know what a road fund license that has to be displayed in the window of my rental car is. I read that there is a possible 90 Euro fine. This would deter me from visiting the Rock of Cashel. Please let me know. Mike, USA

We rented a car in Ireland and drove all over for 2 weeks no problems. Also the car park at Rock of Cashel is very convient.
