yes, you'll be fine. make sure to ask for a life jacket, all decent tubing offices should have one for you. it's low season so it's actually quite shallow in parts also.

Hi debbers07. Tubing ends pretty much back at Vang Vieng, so you can just walk back (depending on where you are staying). If staying a bit further, maybe save some cash for a tuktuk.

Everyone is requested to wear a life vest but we ended up having to save someone who got caught up in a tree and couldn't free themselves. I almost lost my tube and bag as a result. There was slight currents in June when I was there which are fun to help move you along the river. There are only 3 bars open on the river now.
