My wife and I, with grandson and friend (18 years old) are coming to Nassau March 15 -March 19, 2016 and would like to snorkel (I would like to snuba also) but not in a large crowd atmosphere. We have have snorkeled many times, but would like to snorkel/snuba a shipwreck. Does Barefoot have any trips that would accommodate? (Shark snorkeling not a real desire). I understand their is a wreck on Rose Island reef

Greetings from Nassau! Thank you for your inquiry - it would be our pleasure to have you sail and snorkel with us while you are in Nassau! We do not offer SNUBA but we really do have fantastic shallow water snorkeling - we anchor right beside the reef, where the water is 10-15' deep, and shallower over the coral itself, so you can see everything very well indeed. Our snorkeling sites are all over full growth coral reefs, with lots of colorful fish, and we often see a turtle, or sting ray, or big snapper. We rarely, if ever, see sharks, and when we do it's usually a small nurse shark, sleeping on the bottom. There are more reefs than you can count around Rose Island, as well as gorgeous beaches! - but no wrecks. There is a wreck a mile or two from Rose Island that we can visit, but due to the logistics of visiting it (it has to be slack tide) this is something we can only arrange on private charters, if that's something you'd like to consider.
