斯塔滕岛，美国华侨侨界称史丹顿岛或史德顿岛，是纽约市下辖的五个行政区之一，并与纽约州下辖的里士满县行政范围完全重叠。相对于纽约市其他四个区，斯塔滕为纽约市位置较遥远、人口最稀疏，且呈现较多自然景观、开发程度也较低的一区。 斯塔滕岛全境皆位于与行政区同名的岛屿上。此岛与位在长岛的布鲁克林隔着纳罗斯水道相望，北边则隔着范寇尔水道与新泽西州贝永相望。 斯塔滕岛西临新泽西州，本身的行政疆界其实与纽约州最南边的县——里士满县完全重叠，事实上，在1898年纽约市各区合并成今日的状态之前，斯塔滕岛一直都是以里士满县的身份独立存在。
