Houston came up a few points shy of winning its first-ever NCAA men’s basketball championship. The Cougars do finish No. 2 behind national champion Florida in the final Associated Press Top 25 rankings.

Florida moved up two spots from the previous AP Top 25 released on March 17. The Gators finished the year with a 36-4 record after overcoming a 12-point deficit to defeat the Cougars in an epic finish that included a stunning defensive stop as the buzzer sounded.

UConn has capped its season at No. 1 in The Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll one day after winning its 12th national championship.
