Breaking from the White House, GOP. Rep. Carlos Gimenez told CNN’s Pamela Brown that he understood why US District Judge James Boasberg instructed the Trump administration to halt any deportation flights to El Salvador over the weekend.

A federal judge requested more details on two deportation flights to El Salvador, but Attorney General Pam Bondi and Justice Department officials may invoke a state secrets privilege to block the request.

The Justice Department accused the judge of "continuing to beat a dead horse" by asking specific questions about deportations under a rarely used wartime act.
