According to a tweet from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will stop offering the option to purchase a 2-3 year plan of AppleCare+ in physical Apple Stores and on device. This change will be taking place next week.

Apple may drop the option to add two- to three-year AppleCare Plus prepaid plans at purchase from its retail stores next week.

Right now, you have the option to add a multi-year AppleCare+ plan within 60 days of buying a new iPhone. You can do this straight from your device through the settings menu or in an official Apple Store as long as you have your phone inspected.
