Amazon-owned autonomous vehicle company Zoox announced Tuesday that it is adding Atlanta to its roster of "testing roadmap" cities.

The company is testing out a fleet of retrofitted SUVs in Downtown Atlanta, in hope of deploying self-driving "robotaxis" in the future.

Atlanta has become a popular autonomous vehicle testing ground. This summer, Amazon-backed Zoox will enter the region.
