It’s a pretty simple process to make the skulls and the frosting. We made about 60 of them because we wanted to have enough in case some of them broke, and for our family to decorate as well.
Known as “ñatitas,” the skulls are decorated and paraded to the cemetery a week after All Saints Day. Some are adorned with sunglasses and cigarettes as well as colorful flowers and hats.
