A young doctor at Karnataka’s Vijayapura District Hospital was assaulted by the family of a female patient after she informed her husband that he had inappropriately touched her during a scan.

The doctors staged a protest inside the hospital while demanding security for themselves. The doctors said the scan is not possible without touching the patient.
