Jane was nearly caught up in the blast. Lokis timely rescue by pushing her aside allowed the woman to survive and made it far easier for Thor to forgive and make up with Loki in the next movie.

As for people on Earth who find fault with Loki, those are Jane Foster, Erik Selvig, and Darcy Lewis, along with Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Donald Blake, who is Thor's human alias, apparently.
