Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern on Thursday announced that his daughter had passed away while on a trip in Italy.

Pope Francis, the first Jesuit and non-European pontiff in over 1,200 years, died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta.
