Fire crews kept busy on Saturday battling brush fires in parts of Connecticut all brought on by prolonged dry weather with low humidity. The risk of dangerous brush fires was high this weekend.
A wind advisory remains in effect for Connecticut through 7:00 this evening. Winds gusts of between 40-and-50 MPH were reported in some parts of the state Friday.
Connecticut is very familiar with the different types of flooding. Devastating floods caused havoc in the western part of the state last summer.
