Insiders have heartbreakingly revealed that Bruce, aged 69, has become "non-verbal" and that his once infectious zest for life has faded. Glenn Gordon Caron, a filmmaker who collaborated with Bruce in the '80s, told Page Six in October 2023 that Bruce was "not totally verbal" and he can no longer read, having been a "voracious reader".
