The world is experiencing the most intense global coral bleaching event on record, with 84 percent of reefs experiencing heat stress from warming oceans

In the Caribbean, Great Barrier Reef, the Red Sea, and Florida, the reefs have suffered near-complete bleaching. Worldwide, 84% of reefs have turned white.

More than 80% of the world's coral reefs fell victim to harmful bleaching and is now in "uncharted territory" with the worst global bleaching event in recorded history.
