A morning routine in Albert Lea took a perilous turn when an indoor campfire ignited a dramatic house fire. What went wrong?

Albert Lea Fire Rescue says a campfire in a plastic tote was to blame for a house fire on Clark Street Wednesday morning.

The answer is the indoor fishing tank at Gopher Campfire Conservation Club. It’s the place to be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28. The event is the 33rd annual Family Indoor Fishing Contest.
