All of our patient's symptoms were typical of ethanol and benzodiazepine withdrawal syndromes. The patient received several doses of lorazepam, with no subsequent improvement in any of her symptoms.

Mild to moderate symptoms of alcohol withdrawal include irritability, anxiety, and tremors. More severe symptoms of alcohol withdrawal include hallucinations, seizures, and disorientation.
