Canberra families feeling the cost-of-living pinch are looking for clever ways to save money on back-to-school supplies.

Greens Ginninderra MLA Jo Clay is sponsoring a petition to the Assembly to keep the Big Splash water park open - and for the site to remain zoned as community land for a pool.
