When Mike Jackson was traded to Carolina, it brought a "new sense of life." He was rewarded with a 2-year deal and is eager to get after it.

As announced by the NFL on Wednesday, Jackson will also be bringing in a performance-based bonus of $1.03 million for his work this past season. That distribution ranks as the third-highest amongst all such totals, sitting behind only linebacker Jamien Sherwood ($1.09 million) and cornerback Jaylon Jones ($1.06 million).

Jackson played 100% of the defensive snaps in every Panthers game last season, with an exception of Week 7, and was a reliable guy opposite Jaycee Horn.
