Since Trooper McAcy’s passing, the Nebraska State Patrol has received an outpouring of support from the community. On Wednesday, they held a blood drive in his honor.

The three inmates involved in a 2023 assault on several Nebraska Department of Correctional Services staff members have been formally charged.
