The Tesla Takedown movement is expecting hundreds of demonstrations to take place at the automaker's showrooms across the world Saturday for what it has dubbed a "global day of action." Why it matters: The protest movement has drawn the Trump administration's ire and cast Elon Musk's signature brand into turmoil for his role in slashing the federal government.

Organizers who are part of a campaign called the “ Tesla Takedown ” said they are hoping to spur people into non-violent action against Musk to voice their discontent with Musk’s actions as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency. In his role, Musk has led an aggressive campaign to dismantle parts of the federal government.

The protests are being advertised on BlueSky under the tags “Tesla Takeover” and “Tesla Takedown,” similar to demonstrations held last weekend. At least three dozen events are listed on Action Network’s website, with a banner urging people who own Tesla vehicles or stock in the company to divest, sell their vehicle, and “join the picket line.”
