At 7:53 a.m. on a weekday in mid-January, a van sits in the left turn lane of Route 222 at Route 73 in Maidencreek Township as its driver waits for a gap in two lanes of oncoming traffic.

The ramp connecting southbound Route 222 and eastbound Route 30 will be closed from 7 p.m. today through 6 a.m. Saturday, as part of the $72 million Route 30/222 Interchange Improvement Project.
