Archaeologists discovered an ancient city in North Macedonia that might be Lyncus, the capital of an ancient civilization.

Macedon was retained by Antigonus I, the founder of the Antigonid dynasty; to the east, Syria, the Levant and Mesopotamia were governed by Seleucus I and his heirs; and Egypt fell to the Ptolemies.
