Like gymnastics, baton twirling requires balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination and endurance when performing twirling tricks and steps including dancing, jumping and somersaults.

Three Twin Ports girls will represent the U.S. at the International Baton Twirling Championship in Torvino, Italy this August. Lila Gucinski, from Superior, is competing in Junior Artistic Twirl.
