在室内，这个工作室除了有着设备齐全的录音器材，更让人印象深刻的是一台历史悠久的Neve 8068调音台。这个调音台曾为众多伟大的音乐人服务过，诸如John Lennon和AC/DC都曾在这里创作过经典之作。可以说，《In Utero》的基本音轨就是在这样的设备下完成的，给了乐队一切展现自我的机会。

Kurt Cobain在这次录音中主要用了一把1965年的Fender Jaguar电吉他，这可是他在录制《Nevermind》之前就拥有的爱琴。这把吉他已经经过改装，装上了DiMarzio PAF和Super Distortion拾音器。而在《In Utero》巡演时，他把琴桥拾音器换成了Seymour Duncan JB。不过，在录音的时候，还是用着两个DiMarzio拾音器。
