A long-awaited collaboration is in the works for The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International, as the two companies shared that they will be working on a multi-year project with a first product release set for next year. Fans will soon be able to build their favorite Pokémon in the classic LEGO style.

Clear some space on the table, grab your brick separator and get ready to build your very own Lego Pikachu. Lego and Pokémon have announced a multi-year partnership to officially bring trainers and builders together for the first time.

Lego has that it will be teaming up with The Pokémon Company to bring block based Pokemon to life soon. While Pikachu fans may have lightening coming from their ears with excitement, there is going to be a wait before they can start building their own plastic Poke-pals.
