Black Mountain Ski Area staff found Eric Page, 39, unresponsive near the Upper Maple Slalom trail. He had gone off-trail and was later pronounced dead.

The skier, identified as 39-year-old Eric M. Page, died after the accident near the summit of Black Mountain, officials said.
