2月7日，为了减轻升学带来的家庭经济负担，日本政府在内阁会议上通过了对抚养3名及以上孩子的“多子女家庭”免除大学学费的法律修正案。取消收入限制，2025年度起将有41万人新成为援助对象。目前援助制度的使用者仅占符合条件学生的6成左右，需要通过高中向学生和家长进行宣传。
