Before using a new bottle of AndroGel 1.62% for the first time, you will need to prime the pump. To prime the AndroGel 1.62% pump, slowly push the pump all the way down 3 times. Do not use any AndroGel 1.62% that came out while priming.

AndroGel 1.62% recommended starting dose: 40.5 mg (2 pumps) applied to the shoulders and upper arms once daily in the morning AndroGel 1.62% should not be applied to any other areas of the body, including the abdomen or genitals
