Genuinely funny, great characters and message, amazing OSTs, yet so unappreciated. There's something about this movie that feels like it wasn't just made to be some piece of mindless entertainment, it actually feels original, genuine and heartfelt. Also, the 10 second sea urchin scene is absolutely brilliant.

Tank wins, while Cody nearly drowns and is stung by a sea urchin named Ivan, breaking a number of the latter’s spines which poisons him. Lani rescues him and takes him to her uncle Geek to help Cody recover from his injuries. Cody wakes up, but cannot find the souvenir necklace given to him by Big Z when he was young.

Ivan is a fire urchin living near The Pen Gu Island. Cody Maverick challenged Tank to a surfing duel only to be knocked out by a wave, landing on Ivan and breaking a number of his spines, something that Ivan was noticeably upset over.[1]
