2024年7月26日 · The United States Army acquired the Bradley fire support vehicle (BFIST) to replace the M981 fire support team vehicle (FISTY). This vehicle is based on the chassis of the Bradley M3A2 Operation Desert Storm (ODS).

The A3 Bradley Fire Support Team (BFIST) with Fire Support Sensor System (FS3) incorporates a major upgrade in Target Location and Designation while maintaining the capabilities of the A3 BFIST in the areas of lethality, command and control, survivability, sustainability, and mobility.

The M7 Bradley Fire Support Team (BFIST) Vehicle can control precision indirect fires to within 50 meters at a range of 8,000 meters from the vehicle. The Army has long had a need to deliver precision indirect fires.
