Owned and managed by Erie MetroParks, the 1,300-acre Edison Woods Preserve is one of the largest contiguous blocks of woodland in the region. As such, it harbors a great diversity of forest-breeding birds such as Pileated Woodpecker, Acadian Flycatcher, Wood Thrush, Hooded Warbler, Louisiana Waterthrush, and Scarlet Tanager.

This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are July through November.
