Isaac Lankershim (c. 1819 – April 10, 1882) was an American landowner and pioneer in California. He was the owner of 60,000 acres in Los Angeles County, California.

Lankershim became known as a major wheat pioneer in the area. He soon expanded to over 14,000 acres in the Fresno area. In 1860, Isaac Lankershim re-united with his family, whom he had left behind in St. Louis, and had his home and office in San Francisco, where he was considered th e “Grain King.”

By 1867, when he stepped into Isaac Van Nuys’ general store in Monticello, Lankershim was one of California’s leading grain exporters. The two men became fast friends, bonding over their common love of coaxing profits from the ground—and perhaps over their shared first name.
