2018年3月10日 · The <Home> tab is the default tab when working in Excel (or any other of the Office programs). The <File> tab opens the Excel <Backstage> - is this what you're saying is happening? If you have the program set to show <Tabs Only> vs <Tabs & Commands> - then the Home tab itself doesn't get highlighted until explicitly selected.

This is a new problem (have not experienced it before; am running Excel 2010). The workbook opens with the File tab active. So I switch to the Home tab to do some editing. The problem is that after just one edit (such as changing the color of a cell), the File tab becomes the active tab again.

2018年4月23日 · Recently, any Excel file I open has the almost all of the "Home" ribbon greyed out: I can get them to work again by hiding the ribbon and then exposing it again using the arrow to the right of "Share" on the right side of the Title bar.
