Lyra (Japanese: コトネ Kotone) is a recurring character in Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl. She is a Pokémon Trainer from New Bark Town and a traveling companion of Khoury. As a rookie Trainer, Lyra was given a Chikorita as her first partner Pokémon.

Khoury is an aspiring Pokémon Breeder. While he has lots of knowledge about Pokémon, he can sometimes be insecure and panic in stress situations. Lyra met the heroes as she was trying to get her Marill unstuck, and introduced them to Khoury.

After the completion of the Lilypad Town Pokémon Contest, our heroes, along with Khoury and Lyra, visit the Lilypad Colosseum ruins, where they all decide to have a Double Battle. As the teams prepare to compete, suddenly Team Rocket appears on the scene and snatches both Pikachu and Piplup!

Lyra is a Pokémon Trainer from Johto. She came to Sinnoh with her friend Khoury to see some Sinnoh Pokémon. She is an able trainer and was heading up the Johto Festival in Sinnoh. After meeting Ash, Dawn & Brock, Lyra decided to briefly join Ash in his travels. Marill is Lyra's main Pokémon and is often seen outside of its Pokéball.
