The 20KW generator has an output breaker rated 100 amps so I figure I will use 100 amp cable. I plan to use 100 amp SER as I need the fourth conductor. So my question is what size SER aluminum do I need?

2014年4月30日 · He has a 200 amp ats which has a 200 amp main breaker on the UTILITY side. Forget about the generator and the ocpd for a sec because you are only confusing yourself. Because of the 200 amp MAIN breaker everything going in and coming out of that switch (except the generator wiring) has to be sized for 200 amps. Got it??

2021年5月12日 · As an example I could be feeding a 100 amp sub-panel from a 200 amp main panel, have a 100 amp non-SE ATS and a 12kW generator. The 100 amp breaker in the main panel protects the sub-panel and ATS when in "normal" and the 60 amp breaker in the generator protects the feeder when the ATS switches and is in "stand-by power".
