Lucifer and Alastor had slowly started to build up their relationship until Lilith came and destroyed it all. Lucifer glanced at Alastor who seemed resolute to ignore him now, which was unlike him. Usually, the demon couldn't help but tease him that Lucifer no longer had Charlie's attention and that Alastor was far better suited to her needs.

Lucifer lost everything because of his pride, paved the way for evil to enter the world, and was punished by being kicked out of his home and his brother angels. Alastor, on the other hand, although we don't know for sure, it is very likely that he made the agreement that he regrets due to his pride in him, given his personality.
