Variables associated with the incidence of infantile esotropia
2007年10月1日 · A retrospective chart review of 5,347 records (October 1, 1993, to September 30, 2003) of birth mothers and infants at the W.W. Hastings Indian Health Science Hospital in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, was performed to identify children with varying degrees of Native American blood who had infantile esotropia.
Results: Three hundred eighty-five cases of childhood esotropia were identified during the 10-year period, yielding an annual age- and gender-adjusted incidence of 111.0 (95% confidence interval, 99.9–122.1) per 100 000 patients younger than 19 years of age.
