Questions: 1) If the extension is a 50 Ohms BNC cable, the signal remains powerful? 2) If the extension is a 70 Ohms BNC cable, the signal that remains is better than a 50Ohms BNC cable? Thanks.

2025年1月3日 · Or, run the LMR-400 down to the hole in the wall, and then transition to a smaller cable with a BNC on the end. A male BNC is about 9/16" diameter. Or, use a SMA connector, and that'll fit through the hole no issue. Lots of ways to do this.

2011年11月5日 · BNC's for RG-8x are a lot easier to find than 'F'. If you don't mind another suggestion, use a cable with less loss than RG-8x. You will loose half of your signal in your splitter (a lot more if you just use a 'T' connector) and 8x already has bunches of loss. There are a lot of sites that list cable characteristics so do a search.

I have some cable which is listed below (50ft) and need to know if I butt connected using BNC the two together if it will degrade incoming frequencies. Using a SDS200 scanner. 2024年12月6日 · But, now I have become lazy and I have been using BNC for everything, purely because it is easier to have standard cables for everything. On the radios I have with N-type connectors, I have been putting N-type to BNC converters and using BNC on both sides. While BNC is easier, I have personally seen BCS "fail in place" 2 or 3 times.

2011年5月7日 · As I noted above, the disadvantage of the SMA-BNC adaptor is the extra stress it puts on the SMA connector of the handheld. I now use an adaptor, but intend to replace the adaptor with a 12" or 18" RG174 cable, sma male to connect to the scanner on one end, BNC female on the other end.
